MT. BINACAYAN, RIZAL: Day Trip Hiking Itinerary and Budget



ESCAPE TO MT. BINACAYAN
Jump-off Location: Sitio Wawa, Rodriguez, Rizal
Country: Philippines
Coordinates: 14.7257° N, 121.1906° E, 424 MASL (Source: Pinoy Mountaineer)
Hike: 3-4 hours hike to the summit, can be arranged with twin hike to Mt. Pamitinan.
What to do/see: sea of clouds
Ideal time to visit: 3AM to witness the sea of clouds


Our hike started from a concreted path to a rocky trail. After an hour or so, we began scrambling up the limestone formation.

The rock formation of these limestone can be quite sharp. It is ideal to bring gloves, wear pants and sturdy shoes to prevent bruises. 

The peak offers a view of Sierra Madre.

Cubao to Rodriguez: via FX | 50PHP  | Tell the driver to drop you at Eastwood Subdivision
Eastwood Subdivision to Sitio Wawa: via tricycle | 60PHP | Good for 4 pax
DENR Environmental fee: 30PHP
Guide Fee: 500PHP | Our guide is Kuya Fernando (09215647249)
Side trip to Wawa Dam: free
