JUNE 28, 2015 - DAY 5 CAMIGUIN
After landing the plane, we went straight to the information counter to ask for some local tips. We asked for help if it was possible to call a local tourist guide named, Teddy, and contact him to pick us up in the airport and land us a tour around the island.
We tried the Tuyom and Suwaki, both sea urchins which can be bought in the island. We helped prepare it by cracking the shell using an itak or knife. The sea urchin is mixed with vinegar and gives a unique taste.
We scored a sweet deal with one of the bangkeros in the island. We went snorkeling within the area of the sandbar. There are also parts in the area where you can go fishing. The island was not crowded at all. Sari-sari stores or carinderias are selling food and drinks for the tourists. We were not aware of the time but we surely enjoyed the island— but i think we were there the whole morning. It was a long time but iwe know we do not regret it. The visit was absolutely breathtaking.
